This Camera, which is the updated version of the QV3000, has some great improvements. The resolution of the camera is 3.3 mega pixels which is the same as the previous version. Take a look at my review of it's earlier incarnation and you will see that I rated that camera and the pictures it takes as being top quality. With a three times zoom plus a twelve times digital zoom, a superb macro and a top quality Canon lens the camera produces great pictures and when they are are printed out on a decent printer they are top quality. I am now using 'Kodak Ultima Ultra Glossy paper' and the result is much better than the photo's my wife got back from 'York Photo' ...

This may not be the prettiest camera to hit the shops recently but it is a great performer in terms of image quality,and price. The most important bit the lens made by Canon is very fast f2-f2.5 always a good sign.It is sharp throughout the range(7-21mm) similar to 33-100 in 35mm terms, though there is a little distortion at the wide end. The image quality I feel is a really strong point good sharp images at A3 size suprised me. Exposure and colours were all fine.
