This philosophy is clearly evident in the QV-R41, which has even more functionality than previous CASIO cameras in this range. The QV-R41 comes in the superb aluminum body and it fits right in the palm of your hand. Using the latest in LSI design, CASIO has created a high-performance graphic engine for the QV-R41, which delivers superior performance with clear, true-to-life pictures. The new LSI also enables quick response through a near instantaneous start-up of 0.1 seconds, and a shutter release time lag of 0.01 seconds. The QV-R41 also features an extra large 2.0" TFT LCD screen that enables easy viewing of images and makes searching through photos a breeze. For extra convenience, the QV-R41 supports both the popular SD memory card and MMC formats in addition to having almost 10MB of Flash memory built in, and can also be used with commercially available AA-size batteries that allow you to take as many as 900 pictures on a single charge. The QV-R41 also features CASIO's Direct-On function that turns on the camera in either record or play mode in the blink of an eye for simple one-touch recording and playback. The camera also incorporates CASIO's popular BESTSHOT function with 21 pre-defined scenarios, making it easy to take beautiful, clear shots in a wide variety of situations. The new QV-R41 is ideal for the family looking for their first foray into digital photography and is a perfect purchase for those fast approaching summer holidays. |

Rating:
This Camera, which is the updated version of the QV3000, has some great improvements. The resolution of the camera is 3.3 mega pixels which is the same as the previous version. Take a look at my review of it's earlier incarnation and you will see that I rated that camera and the pictures it takes as being top quality. With a three times zoom plus a twelve times digital zoom, a superb macro and a top quality Canon lens the camera produces great pictures and when they are are printed out on a decent printer they are top quality. I am now using 'Kodak Ultima Ultra Glossy paper' and the result is much better than the photo's my wife got back from 'York Photo' ...

However, I did not open camera and believe to the manufacturer. Thus, it is the camera in body 3000 with optics from Canon and matrix ICX252 from Sony. In appearance there are two small modifications: the window of infrared port has disappeared and instead of a decorative ring around objective a ring with ...
