For a long time I'd wanted a digital camera, but sadly never had the money to spare for an all singing all dancing model. After getting married in June 2000, myself and hubby found ourselves with a large amount of Argos vouchers as we'd not really wanted for anything specific so had said to people if you really feel the need to buy, make it vouchers. Anyway, to cut a long story short, after buying some garden furniture and various household bits and pieces, there was £50 worth of vouchers left. Whilst thumbing through the Argos catalogue for probably the 100th time, I came across the Cool-icam at a sum of £49.99, and decided that was where the last ... Read the complete review

Cool-icam At last an affordable digital camera. After loads of hints that I would quite like a digital camera,my partner bought me a cool-icam for my birthday. At £49.99 from Argos this is a far better option than spending hundreds on a digital camera, especially when you are a beginner when it comes to these things. This is definitely a great little digital camera for kids. It is easy to use and appears to be practically indestructable. This camera only has three buttons, how easy is that. There is an on/off button(even I can work one of those) a mode button (this is where it gets technical) and the button you press to take the ... Read the complete review

Last week I was offered a secondhand digital camera at a computer fair. You know the type of deal, just like Del Boy would offer (Fools and Horses DelBoy, not the Dooyoo one!) The camera was said to be two years old and an absolute snip of a bargain at £50. It had cost £150 new and the owner had apparently found it an excellent piece of equipment but had decided to upgrade (or so the stallholder said). I parted with £45 in the finish and thought I had a bargain. Unfortunately that wasn't so. The Digital Camera was a VDC 300 bought originally from Swaffham Computer Supplies. It was very easy to operate and although it came with no frills it ... Read the complete review

Yes, the name is off-putting, and it is very adolescent orientated. But this digital camera was a pleasant surprise to me. Given to me on my 18th by my boyfriend I was at first a bit dubious about the little camera, however, its durability and sheer usefullness have made it grow on me. For starters, the camera is tiny, it fits easily into any size hand and can be put into a pocket with no fuss or squeezing. The one I have is made of a pleasant see-through greeny-blue plastic with silver edging, which is comfortable on the eye. There are only 3 buttons, so it's extremely easy to use, one to take the picture, one to change the setting and one to turn it on ... Read the complete review

i-Cam. Well my latest toy has surprised me with the adaptability and versatility of this little camera. As well as providing a static web cam facility you can simply unplug from your PC and wander around for up to 6 hours snapping up to 80 low res. images or 20 high res. Images or for the very keen 16 seconds of full motion video. I must admit it’s the appeal of 80 images and no developing costs that grabbed me being a keen gardener I have been able to photograph unusual plants bring home the picture download it into the PC and then use my online reference tools to identify it. Because the camera automatically adjusts the exposure and focus its so simple even ... Read the complete review
