We needed a digital camera which could be used to take pictures for our web sites. Fortunately, given the low 72 dpi resolution of pictures displayed in web pages, we had a fair idea that one of the lower priced models currently avaiable would meet our needs. We came across the Digital Dream 2800 dual mode vga camera during a visit to our local Tesco store. At £99.95, the price tag was instantly attractive as was the camera itself. It's a small, lightweight unit similar in size and appearance to a 35mm compact camera. The camera has a built in flash, and comes complete with case and batteries, as well as all connecting leads. These include serial, ... Read the complete review

I stumbled across this piece of kit at a local Tesco superstore. I was very sceptical of its quality capabilities prior to purchase, having been an avid photo enthusiast of film for many moons! It turned out that I was surprised most of all by this camera’s quality results as it only has a resolution of 640x480 pixels; I was concerned that this would not be up to my 'quality' of photography. How wrong I was! From the very first picture I took, I was amazed at the clarity of image obtained, particularly on a sunny bright day or at close range with flash. I found the Digital Dream 2800 dual mode vga camera at my local Staples store. I was after a camera with a flash cheaply to take back to uni with me, For under £100 the price was great. Also the camera actually looked like a normal camera. It comes complete with a built in flash with batteries, leads and a case. MGI Photosuite SE software is included, allowing easy transfer of images from the camera to computer. However I prefer the ULEAD photo express packaged with the digital dream l’esprit, the 2800’s little bucktoothed brother. This camera can be hooked up to a PC via the supplied USB or serial connection leads. Also you can connect it ... Read the complete review

I have recently purchased a computer and with the computer I got a digital dream camera which is very easy to use and is really light, some would say lightweight. It has a very modern design the digitaldream and can also be used as a web cam, which is very useful. It only needs 4 batteries and runs for a long time which is very good for a camera. Digital cameras are quite a new thing and are really quite good, they have almost as good quality pictures as a normal camera if not better. Digitaldream cameras use loads of different colours and I think the actual amount is 16.7 million colours which is a lot. There are many other pluses with the ... Read the complete review
