There are few products on the market where the maker’s name truly reflects the product in question but I have found an exception. Digital dream have come up with just that, a digital dream. L’Espion must be the hottest gadget to have come to the streets in the last year. It is a wonder of design and a welcome addition to the camera market. L’Espion is a digital camera with a difference. It is the size of a matchbox with a relative price tag to match. Forget spending hundreds of pounds on a serious piece of equipment, spend just £40 and amaze your friends. IN THE BEGINNING We were approaching our first wedding anniversary ... Read the complete review

The L'espion is a gadget lover's dream for three reasons. 1: It is tiny and rekindles memories of making spy devices out of toilet roll tubes as a youngster - come on ... we all did it ... didn't we? 2: It has a genuine purpose, in this case, digital camera and web cam combined. 3: It is cheap. This last one is very important as most gadget fiends I know have a partner who fails to share their enthusiasm for the weird and wacky world of electronic wizardry. As a purchaser in this position it makes for an easier life if you can deliver the line "...but darling ... it only costs (sniff) ... a paltry £39.99". ... Read the complete review

Introduction ------------ When I saw this camera a few months ago in the gadget shop I was overwelmed by its rediculacly small size and I felt I had to buy it especially since it was only £40. At the time it was the only camera of the type but due to its own success competetors got interested and now there are a few alternatives on the market the most noteworthy being the Blink which in my opinion is far superior to the L'espion and can do everything it can do just better. Points Where the L'espion is Inferior to the Blink ------------------------------------------------- For a start the L'espion has only a quarter of ... Read the complete review

It is no coincidence that the front of this camera bears the emblem 'digitaldream' as this minuscule little gadget truly is a dream come true. Everyone has a digital camera nowadays don't they? That is, everyone except me. My friends have endless amounts of fun taking picture of themselves and each other and emailing them around the place. Now I would really like one but for two reasons... 1) I don't own a Mac or PC 2) I'm not very good with cameras so I tend to buy cheap / disposable ones in preparation for their imminent breakage. So, imagine my delight when the firebox.com newsletter dropped into my Inbox this month, ... Read the complete review

You know how it is........you see an ad in the paper, and you think 'there has to be a catch'. This time however, there was no mistake - it does all it says on the box. For £40. Thats right. Im not going to go into technical detail - for £40 you can afford to suck it and see. It takes pictures (80 little ones or 20 not as little) it takes movie clips (80 frames @10 fps) and it's the size of a matchbox. It also doubles as a webcam. OR.........even better......... I Have an Apple i-Book with Adobe Premiere loaded. Plug the camera into the laptop with the USB cable, start Premiere....and start recording whatever the ... Read the complete review
