For added convenience and affordability, Epson includes four AA-sized rechargeable NiMH batteries and a charger. There are three different exposure modes from full-auto, to program mode (aperture/shutter priority), to complete manual. I've had an Epson PhotoPC 700 for 18 months, which means of course that it is a total dinosaur in terms of flashy features; however I keep resisting an upgrade because it is such a brilliant little camera. It has a phenominal battery life - four rechargeable AA batteries that came with it give hours and hours of use between boosts. If you are sparing with the LCD you can take literally hundreds of pictures on one lot of batteries so you can away for a couple of days without carrying spares or chargers.
