The print data processing function of the PhotoPC Engine allows users to print high quality digital photo easily. The two main parts of PhotoPC Engine include USB Direct Printing and PRINT Image Framer (P.I.F.) function.

The L-300 features the USB Direct Printing Function, allow direct printing to a wide range of EPSON ink jet printers. After connecting the L-300 to a compatible printer with a USB cable, users can control the whole printing process through the camera's LCD viewer, without the need of a computer.

In the past, the only way of adding effects to a photo is through computer editing software. It's a complicated process and not readily available to home users. The EPSON's exclusive built-in PRINT Image Framer (P.I.F) of L-300 adds a whole new dimension of fun and creativity to digital photography. The P.I.F function lets users add attractive frame to any photo, either before or after a picture is taken. You can then print out a unique and attractive digital photo with EPSON ink jet printers. About 30 frames are bundled with L-300, of which 10 frames feature Disney characters. It's great fun for kids and the whole family.

Now you can say goodbye to battery worries during traveling. L-300 uses four standard AA alkaline batteries. The innovative energy-saving circuitry of L-300 ensures longer battery life for extended shooting capability. With just four ordinary AA alkaline batteries, you can shoot about 500 photos. With four Ni-MH rechargeable AA batteries, you can even shoot as many as 600 photos! It's about 2 times more than other camera in its class. Since the standard AA alkaline battery is available almost everywhere, you never have to worry about running out!

L-300 is equipped with a 1/2.5 color area 3-megapixel class CCD, delivering a maximum of 2, 048 x 1, 536 pixel. The L-300 comes with a bright 3x optical zoom lens (7 elements in 6 groups), equivalent to 34 - 102mm on a conventional 35mm film camera. The zoom range can be extended by activating 2x digital zoom. The camera features aperture from F2.8 to 4.9. The video clip mode allows you to record short movies of 320x240 with sound. L-300 bundles a 16MB SD memory card. With PRINT Image Matching II technology (P.I.M. II), L-300's imaging characteristics are accurately reflected in the final photo when printed with P.I.M. II-enable printers. It also supports Exif Print (Exif2.2) which ensure superb image quality with minimal effort.

The metallic and high-grade design plus the compact lightweight bodies make L-300 durable and attractive. It's a must-have item for those digital photo fans.

want an all-pro camera that would bankrupt me, and I also didn't want a simple point-and-shoot which wouldn't give me complete control over the exposure if I chose to. The Epson does both admirably. There are three different exposure modes from full-auto, to program mode (aperture/shutter priority), to complete manual. This should please the professional photographer's needs, as well as the point-and-shooter. This camera is able to produce 2.1 million pixels, and not the 2.9 as quoted in places. The Epson is able to capture, and export exposure information such as shutter speed, aperture, flash, resolution, etc. This camera also has the capability to take ...

Premium Review I like the Epson 850z (223 words)

in conjunction with Epson inkjet printers Things I don't like: 1. Can only get 12 high resolution images on the memory card that comes with the camera 2. The batteries don't last long, and there is no mains adaptor supplied with the camera 3. Slightly too bulky for carrying with you all the time I would recommend this product. However, you must keep in mind that it is the type of product that has an extremely short lifespan in terms of desirability. It will only be a few months before a better, smaller, more powerful, cuter and cheaper version appears in the shops. ...

Premium Review The Morris 1000 of digital cameras (192 words)

I've had an Epson PhotoPC 700 for 18 months, which means of course that it is a total dinosaur in terms of flashy features; however I keep resisting an upgrade because it is such a brilliant little camera. It has a phenominal battery life - four rechargeable AA batteries that came with it give hours and hours of use between boosts. If you are sparing with the LCD you can take literally hundreds of pictures on one lot of batteries so you can away for a couple of days without carrying spares or chargers. It takes excellent quality pictures - not huge filesize but perfect for sending on emails or printing on notes and letters. It seems very tough (it has survived a ...
