The Fuji DX-10 is a budget camera costing a mere £199 compared to other cameras costing a whooping £800. The camera is easy to hold and slightly larger than a packet of cigarettes. Its shape does not encourage you to get your fingers in the way of either the lens or the flash.

How does it work?

The DX-10 uses a wheel with icons to select different kinds of modes. It has an LCD panel that displays the setup menu. It also has a digital viewfinder and an optical viewfinder for taking sharper pictures.

The quality of the images are good especially colours and landscapes. Pictures are stored on a 2Mb Smart Card that can handle seven pictures in the cameras highest quality setting of 1,024 x 768. It is very easy to transfer data from the camera to the PC thanks to Fuji’s software and a serial link.

Is it worth buying?

Other cameras of the same class will do better than this camera considering that it cost just £199. If you are interested in digital photography especially if you are involved in Art and you do not want to pay a ridiculous amount of money, then this is the chosen one
