Advantages: clarity, ease of use, compact size

Disadvantages: none

I'm well pleased with this little number from Fujifilm. This Camera does just about everything but make your morning coffee.

The 30i version is reasonably priced and offers many features including 20 second video clips, adding audio to photos, MP3 player including ear pieces (remote control for MP3 player has funky blue LED display). This camera also comes with the usual fantastic features such as red eye removal, photo editing, close up photography etc.

On recent trips to England and Sweden I was able to take photos of anything and everything, view it on the colour display monitor on the back, edit and keep/delete worthy/unworthy photos.

This camera has proven itself over and over each and everytime we use it. I'm quite pleased with it. The clarity of the photos is jawdropping. I hate to say it, but you can see each and every wrinkle I have if you zoom in with a photo editor on the pc. If you have Windows XP it is compatible, regardless, it comes with all of the software you'll need. Installing said software is quite simple. Ease of use is impeccable.

Downloading photos to the pc is a snap. There is a cable provided and you can directly download from the camera or you can utilise the use of a smart media disc drive and download from the disc.

It's well worth spending a little extra dosh toward buying a larger 128 meg disc rather than using the provided 16 meg disc. I say this because with the much larger disc you'll not likely run out of room for photos or video clips.

Example: Whilst on holiday we managed to take over 175 photographs and approximately 5 video clips and we still had room for 300+/- photos and video clips. We were able to capture moments that with most cameras would have resulted in too much fidgeting, therefore missing the photo opportunity.

Travelling is made much easier now as you can listen to your favourite MP3's whilst on the go.
No need to bog yourself down with a cd player, a camera, a camcorder etc. This little number does it all and it's so very compact. It fits in my little girly hand and if you don't want to carry it, it comes with a neck strap or you can run your belt through it's case and carry it on your hip freeing up your hands for other things. The battery life is outstanding. We only had to charge the batteries once in the week we used it nonstop in Sweden.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the results of the Fujifilm Finepix 30i and would highly recommend purchasing this product. Of course as with all products you should shop around and price compare. I found this camera to be reasonably priced at £300.00 and I'm sure when I use it again, I'll find a new feature making it even more worth the money paid for it.

Here's hoping this opinion helps you out and, should you buy the fujifilm finepix 30i, I hope you have as much fun with it as I have.

Cheers all,
Kimberley :)
