First Impression (Fujifilm Finepix 4700 Zoom)

Advantages: Great picture quality Disadvantages: Price, battery life (so far)
I bought the finepix on recommendation. Having use it for a week now I am pleased with it so far. The Finepix is a 2.4 mega pixel camera that has built in software that boosts it output. It's a small camera and it feels weighty and the build quality looks OK. On the top of the camera is a dial that selects the various setting, the rear is the video output that can be operated to take pictures or you can use the view finder to save batteries. The screen is clear and bright although I have noticed that not the whole view is captured that is displayed, I will have to play more to confirm this. It runs on two rechagable Ni--MH AA size batteries that when fully charged are supposed to take around fifty pictures( Not yet but I think my batteries need to be charged a few times yet). The camera takes pictues at 2400x1800, 1280x960 or 640x480 in Fine, Normal or basic mode. The camera uses USB interface using USB mass storage drivers. I use Win 2000 so I did have some problems out of the box but I found update Win 2000 drivers on Fuji site that worked (Microsofts own). When connected the camera acts like a hard drive in My Computer to download the pictures. In operation I have so far found this method practicable. Summary: |
