Disappointing (Fujifilm Finepix A800)
Member Name: traveladdict
Advantages: small and lightweight Disadvantages: Poor focusing, lack of flash in dull conditions on auto mode I bought this camera with the insurance money I received from a damaged Koday digital camera. This one has 8.3MP - fantastic I thought as the Kodak one only had 5MP, plus a host of extra features. I thought it would live up to its reputation that was proclaimed in various reviews and in the blurb in camera magazines. However I was wrong. On a very hot trip to Africa tha batteries (normal AA's) ran down very quick, the focusing was dependent upon good natural light - even with some cloud or dullness I was getting blurred shots. Additionally on Auto mode, the flash often fails to work in very dull or dark conditions. I was very happy with my old Kodak however I shall not share the same level of enthusiasm for the finepix A800 when I manage to save up to get enought money to buy a new one. Summary: There are better cameras for the money
