Advantages: Small, bright and clear outdoor pictures
Disadvantages: indoor shots full of red eye, software a mystery
I have owned the Fuji finepix A800 for about 18 months now. The main problem I have with it, is when using it indoors - red eye is prevalent especially in children, and even though I then go onto use the red eye reduction it is still there.
Outdoor use - the picture quality is truly fantastic, good bright clear images. The camera is small and versatile, there is no viewfinder only the LCD preview screen, this however may be the case on all digital cameras now. The controls on the rear of the camera are all on the right hand side - I am left handed and would prefer them arranged above or below the screen to be truly universal (small moan).
The camera comes with PC an TV leads to transfer and view photos, it does have a short video facility too.
The software has to be on your PC to transfer photos on, my partner has the A900 and I cannot load his photos on my PC - different software, I have never really got to grips with the software either, I tend to let it load and then go to My Computer and copy from there.
Summary: Great camera but the red eye ruins it

- 17/05/09 Every point and shoot compact will give red eye it is just because the flash is so close to the lens but a good red eye removal tool should get rid of it no matter how bad it is! - Colin (guide for photography)! |
