Good value, but not perfect (Fujifilm Finepix A825)

Advantages: Picture quality Disadvantages: Screen quality
Picked this camera up a while ago with the intentions of taking some photos of stock for an online shop. I was hoping for good quality pictures for a reasonable price, and that's exactly what I got. This camera is not a looker, infact it looks a bit cheap when on display next to all the brushed aluminium Sonys and Kodaks, but the looks are deceiving. I generally use the camera in Zoom mode, as the objects I am photographing are static. But the steadyshot mode is also great and works well. The screen on the camera doesn't do it justice as you can only really appreciate the photos when they are uploaded onto a PC. They look grainy/fuzzy on the screen, so you can never really tell if you've got the shot just how you want it, until you upload it for review on a good monitor. This is not a big deal for myself, but it may be an issue if you need instant feedback on your shots. Also, having used Duracell standard batteries to begin with in this camera, I would suggest getting some good rechargeable ones as this camera seemed to eat them up in a short time, which can become costly! Summary: Power hungry with a poor screen, but still good value!
