      Disadvantages

not highly recommended, good for a teen or just for snapping those memories

I bought this camera as a replacement for my old canon camera which got water damaged so i needed something to replace it. I didn't think much to it at first, because it makes a horrid clicking noise when it's taking a photo which is from the flash or stabilizing the image. I got it in pink, and i thought at first i would get on really well with it, but it just wasn't the camera for me.
When the flash was off (no need in day light) it doesn't use it's image stabilizing features as well as it does with the flash. I run a small business as use it to take photos of stock, but while the image quality is good, the photos look too amateur. I am looking into professional photography, and this camera isn't very good for someone wanting to take great photos. It is however good for days out, taking photos of other people/children, but i wouldn't recommend it for anything other than this.
A real downside to the camera is it takes AA batteries and eats them up quickly! i much prefer one which charges up to one which needs more money ploughed into it on good quality batteries. I tried shop brand batteries and they lasted around 50 photos, and the top brands took around 100.
It has a lot of nice photo features where you can choose what type of setting you are in to reflect on the photo. So if your watching fireworks, there is a setting which will capture the colour extremely well, or if your taking photos of babies, there is a nice soft setting.
It takes alot of getting used to and a lot of trial and error to get the perfect photo. I now have a Bridge camera and this one is set aside for using when with friends.

It did however take a brilliant quick photo of my daughter who is 2, she fell in the park on a huge bump in the path (which still hasn't been mended after i sent the photo to the council) she has a blood filled mouth and her front tooth was all wibbly wobbly.

very good buy would definitely recommend!

I was bought this camera for Christmas after having my old Sony cybershot camera broken. I have to say compared to the Sony, the features aren't as good for example, on the Sony I could change to black and white etc however this camera is better quality. It's hard wearing, it has every function a camera should have to be honest and i think it is the beat camera I have had. I didn't think much of it at first because i compared it to my Sony however in the long run, this camera is the better one! The design of it looks a bit bulky however it helps when taking the picture because the design is so the hand can grip the camera properly whilst taking the picture and to be honest I think its a good idea. All in all I think its worth the money and i would recommend it yo anyone who's looking for a Christmas present or just a camera in general. Most camera cases fit this model.

        Excellent product for price paid

I had been browsing the internet for my first digtal camera for quite a few weeks. As I had never purchased a digital camera before the maximum that I was willing to spend was 60 pounds. I decided to buy the Fujifilm AV130 from currys as it was at a bargain price of 59.99. Its original price was said to be 130 pounds therefore I bought a expensive camera that was within my budget.

I can say that it was money well spent as the resolution of the camera is 12 megapixels, which is very good. I thought that I would have had to buy a camera that was silver as my budget was quite low but it was an added bonus that this camera has a black outer casing. It is compact in size and the screen is 3" which is big compared to many other digital cameras on the market. The camera takes very good quality pictures. The one downfall of this camera is that its built in memory is only 9MB so only three photos can be taken and stored as it then tells you to put in a memory card. I already had spare memory card so I did not have to go out and buy one. The camera requires two AA batteries and it is said in the booklet that approximately 400 pictures can be taken until the batteries will need replacing. I have not actually counted the number of shots I have taken but since I bought it I have had to replace the batteries once.
There are several settings that can be chosen depending on where the picture is being taken. Videos can also be recorded with this camera. It can also be set on a timer of 2 or 10 seconds, which can be useful at times. It is very easy transferring photos on to computer too. The photos can be viewed on the camera screen so if I do not like any I can delete them, which is very convenient. The instruction manual was simple and easy to follow. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase of this product as it is well worth the price.
