Advantages: Takes excellent pictures

I've had my Fuji Finepix F30 since Christmas 2006, and I take it with me everywhere I go. It's so small and light that it fits into my smallest handbag, and if I'm out and about I just slip it into my pocket.

I try and compose my pictures as much as possible, but sometimes you just have to take advantage of the moment and shoot what you see. The quality of the photos taken is so good that I can go home, load the pictures onto my computer, then use the cropping tool to bring out the composition I would have chosen if I had the time or was able to approach closely enough. Even after cropping, and consequently enlarging, the pictures are usually still sharp and rich.

This is a 6.3 megapixel camera with 3x Optical zoom and a 2.5" LCD monitor. It has 10 MB of internal memory, but I bought an additional memory card which gives me enough memory for 680 pictures.

The buttons and symbols on the camera are pretty self-explanatory, so that it's easy to figure out how to use the different functions.

This camera does make videos with sound, but the picture quality is quite poor. Still, it's better than nothing when you're trying to capture a memorable event.

Summary: It's a great little camera.
