I got this camera when I was thirteen on Christmas, because I wanted to try photography. It has a nice, large screen where you can see the pictures clearly and a great zoom. Also, there are many settings on this camera that are fairly easy to navigate. This camera has been through a lot, I've dropped it many times, scratched it, you name it. It still works great! The battery doesn't last too long, and I have to charge it frequently.
It has great macro on it, to get close - up shots that look crisp and beautiful. I definitely recommend this camera, it's nice and portable, sleek and stylish, and takes amazing pictures.
It also includes the charger for it, so that means you don't have to mess around with changing batteries a bunch of times. The charger doesn't have a cord, you just pop the battery out and put it in the charger and plug it into the wall, for about 120 minutes. The charger is small, and easy to carry around with the camera if you were on vacation or something.
Overall, this camera is amazing! I recommend this camera to everyone. My pictures always turn out nice and the settings are easy to understand.
I first started to develop a deep interest for photography when I turned 13. Because my parents thought this was just a phase, they bought me a super cheap camera to use to experiment with for a while. Two years later, when they saw I was still as interested as ever, they decided to upgrade my camera to this. It's so, so much better than the other one. Here's my thoughts on it.
It's reasonably attractive. There's a lot of really ugly cameras out there, but this is quite sleek looking.
I really enjoy macro photography, so I was thrilled that this actually had a macro setting on it. When you push the macro button, and then the shutter, you have to wait a couple of seconds for it to properly focus. Sometimes it randomly stops working which is really annoying.
There are also a range of other settings, including the option to turn on flash, suppress flash, and lighten the overall view when you look at the screen. This can be quite helpful if you want a more airbrushed appearance to the skin.
There is also a wheel near the top of the screen with the following: an automatic setting, for taking a low key type of photo that doesn't require any effect, a movie setting to film, a landscape setting for clear scenic shots, a portrait setting which delivers a soft overall tone and an airbrushed look to the skin, a 3x digital zoom setting, a red-eye reduction setting, a picture stabilization setting which minimizes camera shake and moving subject blur, and a baby mode which delivers a natural skin tone without flash.
All in all, i'd say this is a good, easy to use little camera for aspiring photographers hoping to improve their camera skills without using something as overwhelming as an SLR.
