Advantages: Pretty design

Disadvantages: Snaps quite slowly

I received this gift as a present from my friends and not meaning to sound ungrateful but there are some bad points as well as many good points. They bought me it in the red and its a stunning camera to look at!

Design
This camera is slim and definately looks the part. It comes it 2 colours: black and red. I personally have the red one. The screen size (2.7") is very useful for viewing the snaps you have just taken and deciding whether they are going to make the cut or not! The buttons on the camera are easy to understand and I think anyone could pick up this camera and use with no difficulties. The weight of the camera is something that you will definately notice when using this camera. It feels empty!! It seriously feels like the battery is missing it is that light! This is probably a good thing right? Well I think it is!

Functions
They are a good number of functions on this camera but also a number of basic functions that there isnt. For example, I love having black and white pictures, unfortunately this camera does not seem to have this function. My old camera did! The 3x optical zoom is pretty good on this but unfortunately if you are taking pictures far away-ish the picture can turn out quite dark and the flash just doesnt want to stretch that far!
This camera also has face detection which can be fun seeing 'who has a face'. haha. It is rather strange when someone's face does not get recognised as a face..weird! hmm.

Useability
This camera is very useable and easy at that. One thing I would like to say is that it does seem to take its time when it comes to actually taking the pic! You have to hold the button down for about 2 seconds before it takes the picture, which can be quite annoying. Maybe I am doing it wrong? Besides it is a new camera. This 12mp camera does take really good quality pictures though which makes up for it.

Price
This camera costs around £120.00 retail. I would say this price is fair and you could certainly do alot worse for that price.

Expandability
This camera takes SD and SDHC memory cards, which work with no problems in them at all.

Verdict
Good product and happy to have it! Just wish it was a little bit quicker at taking snaps! Especially to catch those moments that happen so quickly...

Summary: Good little camera

Thanks for your comments Kirsty. My old camera (before it died) had sooo many more features and could do soo much more than this one. Maybe i am still pineing after that one :( and was comparing it too much to that one. I will need to write a review for it soon me thinks :)

None of my cameras have a black/white function, or if they do I haven't found it yet. I always used to tell my friends with the face detection, that it only finds the pretty ones :D I know I'm cruel lol.

Great review. Kirsty x
