Advantages: durable, good quality, fair price, rechargable battery, video

Disadvantages: battery doesn't last as long as newer models,

My mum bought me this camera for Christmas a year or two ago in red and I loved it, I used it almost everyday, for things such as photos for my art course (I mostly used my DSLR but this was good for on the go quick pictures too), at live concerts and nights out with friends or just everyday random pictures of cats. So many pictures of cats o_o

The camera is very simple to use and gives good quality photos, there are a selection of different settings but I never found out what they all did (I'm one of those people who don't read instructions...) but was happy with the ones I did use. The video camera part is also very good quality too, especially the sound and you can adjust the settings to suit your needs. It is also very durable, I have dropped it a few times and it still works fine, just a few fine scratches on the screen.

However one night (when I was very drunk) I managed to leave it in a club and never found it again. I was gutted and felt lost without my camera so saved up for a new one, it was about £20-£25 cheaper than when my mum had bought it, costing me about £60 which I was prepared to pay because I knew how good the camera was.

Another great point about this camera is it as a rechargeable battery, most cameras do these days but it's much better than constantly having to change batteries. This was my first camera with a rechargeable battery and I was amazed, it doesn't even take long to charge and can last a while. There are better cameras out there with a longer battery life but these are more expensive.

I have since been given a FujiFilm Finepix F660EXR camera (very luck me!) which is obviously much better in many ways as it is newer and a lot more expensive. I was going to sell my JX530 however I thought it would still be good to use on nights out and holidays as I really don't want to lose my new camera!

I would recommend this camera to people who want a camera for general everyday picture taking or nights out and holidays. It takes great photos and is fairly cheap for such a good quality camera, especially as it would have gone down in price even more since I bought it again.

Summary: There are better cameras out there but this great for general everyday use, nights out, holidays
