Advantages: zoom, size of viewing screen

Disadvantages: manual popup for flash

I take several trips to different places in Europe so I decided to purchase a new camera. So far I am happy with my purchase of this camera by Fujifilm. It takes beautiful colorful pictures and gives you several different options like the more expensive professional cameras. This camera is great for the zoom. The camera actually does a great job even with the digital zoom. For the money, I would recommend buying this camera, unless you are a serious photographer, then I'd recommend spending a bit more on a different camera (perhaps stay away from all mega-zoom cameras for that matter). Am still learning everything it will do, but have taken great photos with it. Looks like it will be easy to use.

This is one of the best purchases of a camera I have had ever! Great value for the money, compact. You will great a great value for your money. Brings some resources only found on full pro cameras. Highly recommend!"
The only drawback is that you have to manually popup the flash to turn it on. But other than that, I find this camera to be outstanding. You will be very happy with this one.

Summary: One of my favourite camera purchases

The things that are missing from making this a more useful review are simply things like how much it costs, the type of settings you get compared to a compact or even to a DSLR and how user friendly it is (ie) could a complete novice pick this up and start shooting? - Colin

Actually, that last comment was a little unfair, and I withdraw it. It's still an SU review, but at least it's a *genuine* review, and it's not *that* far from a U.

Sorry for the SU, but this is quite hard to understand in places. For example, "stay away from all mega-zoom cameras" - why? Unless you mean going the whole hog with a DSLR - if so, then say so explicitly. You also say nothing about what you paid, or what those "some resources" are. And "*Looks like* it will be easy to use?" - if you've used it, you should know.
