A brillant and smart camera for those who appreciate good quality photographs.

I bought this camera a few years ago now when it was first out on the market for around £200.00 and it has prooved itself to be every bit worth the money.

I was looking at getting into photography more and I wanted a camera a little better than those £70.00 ones you can get that give you little more than the basic photograph with minimal mega pixles and zoom facilities.

I found the S3500 and immediatley liked the more traditional square shape, weightyness and duel option of screen or viewfinder. The variety of settings impressed me and they have proven very useful for different enviornments and situations, including portrait or scenery photographs. The zoom is adequate however, for more detailed photographs of animals or birds it would be useful to add a zoom attachment.

The camera takes fantastic pictures of scenery and landscapes in particular, many of which I have used in card making, crafts and to frame. For the low price of the camera the standard of photograph is brilliant. It aslo takes decent photos of specific objects or people however this can depend on the lighting so you need to set the picture well before shooting.

The connectability of the camera to your home PC is as simple as it gets and uploading photos matches that simplicity.

The only downside with this camera is that the battery life is not very extensive and cannot be charged by a PC as it takes 4 AA batteries. Also, when connecting to the computer, the battery life is decreased significantly so it can be a bit pricey with battery purchase if used frequently.

However, overall I completely reccomend this camera to anyone who is starting out in ameatuer photography or equally to anyone who just enjoys taking lovely photographs for memory sake. I am very happy I bought this camera and I still continue to use it regularly.

This camera is a excellent buy for someone who is interested is getting full value for money. It has a great feel, is quite weighty , and the 6 x optical zoom allows you to take nice macro pictures as well. It even has the abilty to use as a webcamera with service pack1.

Some other nice features are being able to trim the fotos on the camera as well as night lighting, portrait, or brightening functions.

For my first digital camera it is brilliant. I looked a long time before I got it and am very happy.

The only disadvantages are that in movie mode there is no sound recording, and very few effects on the camera itself or the software provided to alter the images with effects.

Great Camera, Great Value for Money, FANTASTIC picture quality!

I can't really say enough about this Camera so ill keep it short and sweet!

After our holiday in the Lake District we got back and transfered the snaps took by the S3500, we were amazed on how much colour it has captured, the images were crisp and vibrant, though one or two were out of focus and blurry, which i know why now...after reading the manual we I found that i needed the flash on when the little 'hand' icon appears on the screen, so i experimented, and it worked!

The ease of use also is a great benefit with this camera, press the button SNAP a photo is taken, with a brief preview after the shot. Plug it into your PC and Windows recognises it as a removable drive and prompts you with what you want to do with the pictures...Print/Save/View!

To summerise, if you want a great camera, after researching i found this only a couple of pounds more expensive than rivals, that is reasonable on price, reliable with FANTASTIC picture quality...Go with this camera, you will not be disapointed. Check the Fuji website for more detailed specs.

The FinePix S3500 marks Fujifilm's entry into the semi-professional segment. The new camera in reflex camera design convinces consumers with its 4 megapixels and super zoom technology. The powerful, optical 6x zoom lens with a focal length of 38 to 234mm (as equivalent to a 35mm analogue camera) can draw even distant motifs very near. Thanks to PictBridge compatibility pictures can also be printed on the home printer without using a PC.

The camera's operation is also very convincing: thus a single push of a button is sufficient to switch from LC display to the electronic viewfinder. The total of six flash programs are particularly helpful and allow optimal image results, even in dark surroundings. With fast release times and the optimized series function the photographer will hardly miss a single motif. It is not only the inner qualities that are so impressive - the elegant, silver-colored casing underlines the professional appearance of this digital camera.
