Disadvantages: Fixed lens.

This is simply a brilliant digital camera. It is suitable for any ability of photographer, be they total novice or seasoned pro. For a moderately compact camera and a very compact price, the lens is huge and superb, and the features are first class.

The lens. Huge, so gathers masses of light, resulting in a crisp picture using a lower iso and wider apeture. If you don't understand that, dont worry, with this camera you dont have to to get brilliant pictures out. However, if you do, then this camera can help you tweak your technique to allow for even better photos. With 10x optical zoom, you can get in close on your subject from across a football pitch, perfect for capturing those brilliant momernts.

The sensor suffers from the usual fuji purple hazing every so often, but comes out with such precision the rest of the time that it's worth it.

The functions are superb, from full auto to full manual and almost every stop in between. The menus are easy to navigate and speedy, and the feel is top notch.

Overall a perfect camera for the enthusiast.
