This camera is a great one if you are looking for a well priced introduction into digital photography. It is simple to use and takes very good photos.
There are a large number of photo taking options, from macro for those very close in shots to reducing movement blur for shots at sporting events. The flash is good and the zoom is superb. The 10x optical zoom is very useful and makes it very easy to take shots no matter where you are. Another advantage is that the camera takes most leading types of memory card, so you are able to scour the market for the cheapest ones available and use those.
If this camera does have a disadvantage, it is in the size and shape. It is based on a retro style camera, and so you will need to think carefully about carrying it about. The neck strap does help, but it isn't a handy camera if you just want a "quick snap" type set up.
Overall the good outweighs the bad on this and I would recommend.
