I paid around 150 pounds for my Finepix S5700 and by all accounts this has been a bargain for such a good quality camera.

I originally bought it for photographing clothes to put on ebay, and it lived up to the task perfectly, taking clear and crisp photos and performing well in low light. I now use it casually when out and about and on social occasions and its versatility has proved great for these as well.

I am in no way a professional photographer so I would not know much about the technical specifications but I have found that the camera has many useful "modes" such as "camera shake" and zoom and there is also a video function.

I needed a memory card to use with the camera and bought a 1gb Kingston card.

The only downside is that the camera did not come with a charger, and I have not found one available to buy. Hence the most environmentally friendly option has been to use disposable batteries.
