Advantages: can handle any situation that is called for

Disadvantages: somewhat heavy

As an ex 5500 user I found the 9500 a joy to use, and what about the features? not as comfortable as 5500 a lot heavier, manual zoom is better, a lot easier to control. Flash hotshoe, bulb shutter control, multi exposure, pull out and tilt viewing screen, dual memory storage cards which give an amazing amount of video at 30 fps and of course the huge 10.7 zoom. one other important thing tho' is my wife loves my old 5500
