Having to constantly use my dad's camera for my work, I needed my own; the endless hours I spent online browsing reviews on different camera, until I come to this... the Fujifilm Finepix Z100fd. Coming in a series of 4 different colours - Black/white, Pink, Silver and Red/brown - I went for the Silver model.

My main reasons for purchase were the price, size, and good reviews it was seemingly getting. Being on a course at university which demanded a camera on my person at most times, the size is perfect, enabling me to quickly take photographs very quickly and of good quality.

The screens display is of a good size, giving detailed previews of each photo after it's taken. The layout of the camera is also pretty well designed, with the buttons being neatly spaced out and not too 'cluttered'. The on-screen menus are also reasonably easy to locate through, compared to older Fufi models which got complicated. Modes available when taking photos include auto, natural (2 photos taken simultaneously with and without flash), natural light, auction, portrait, landscape, sport, night, Fireworks, Sunset, Snow, Beach, Underwater, Museum, Party, Flower, and text; these make it easier for the less technical photographer to get the best out of their camera.

The other feature I like on this camera is the face-detection, which makes it much quicker to take portrait photos - the camera automatically detects the face, and then once the photograph is taken, it is cropped down to get the best possible image.

For anyone in need of a quick and easy to use camera for a very low price, I would recommend this.
