Advantages: Price, size

Disadvantages: Picture quality is only OK

This is a convenient and lightweight camera that produces decent results.

Features:
It's a 7MP camera with 3x optical lens and fits very easily in a bag or pocket.

There are many standard shooting modes available and the 640*480 movie mode produces good results. Face recognition is available but there's no optical image stabilisation.

The 2.5inch LCD is clear and bright. There's no optical viewfinder.

Being a Fuji camera it takes XD cards, but it can also use SD and SDHC cards which is handy as these are becoming dominant and are pretty cheap.

Ease of Use:
The auto point and click setting is easy to use and the camera is small and convenient. It's not so small that it's difficult to hold though - there's enough weight for it to feel comfortable when taking pictures.

I would have liked shortcuts to the more common shooting modes, rather than having to go through the full menu system each time.

Quality:
Picture quality is good, but not exceptional.

I'm just a casual point and click photographer and am finding that although the Fuji outperforms my previous camera - an Olympus C350 Zoom, 3.2MP, 3x Optical - in low light conditions, the Olympus takes clearer more vibrant pictures in good outdoor light, despite the relatively poorer specifications.

Battery:
The battery lasts for about 150/200 pictures which is OK. One thing that I don't like is that you have to remove the battery to charge it. It's a bit fiddly to do and connecting a charging cable to the camera or having a dock would be more convenient.

Value for Money:
I paid £65 including delivery for a refurbished product from the Fujifilm website and this included 5 protective socks.

While there are other cameras out there that have more features and better picture quality, I haven't seen anything else that comes close at that price.

Summary: A cheap point and shoot camera that's a good size, and has acceptable picture quality
