Advantages: easy to use, durable battery, cool features
Disadvantages: bright flash
I recently bought this camera from my friend but I would recommend it, to any inexperienced photographers as well as those who just like to capturing beautiful moments.
The Fujifilm Finepix Z10fd comes in different colours varying from black, red, orange, blue and green. Mine is red and I have it for the past six months and I am very satisfied till date.
Some characteristics of Fujifilm z10fd:
7.2 MP
3times optical zoom
2.5" LCD
When I bought it, I was given in the box:
* Installation CD which is compatible with Windows Vista XP Home, XP Pro, 2000 Pro., Me, 98SE and also Mac OS X 10.3.9 to 10.4.9
* The digital camera (obviously)
* The Li-ion Battery NP-45
* Battery charger
* AV cable
* USB cable
* Owner's manual
I am really satisfied with my camera, it is the first one I have and though it does not take top quality pictures, it is enough to capture some moments. Its design is fashionable not bulky but compact and easy to put anywhere.
You can use Memory cards namely the xD- Picture card and SD memory card or SDHC memory card. I use a 1GB memory card for the moment which suits me right now. You must before buying one check it on the website. The memory card is placed in the slot next to the battery so there is no real complicated manipulation.
The battery can be charged for about 3hours or more and has a long durability, I charged my battery two months ago and it is just now that am charging it again, that also depends on how long you have been using the camera.
To switch on and off the camera, you just have to slide the lens cover on the lens. If you do not use your camera for ten minutes it usually switches off to avoid battery loss. Once you switch it on, you have the ability to choose the languages from English, French, Chinese and others that I don't really know ;). You can modify the date and time all in the setup. To access the menu is easy, there is the big button with "Menu/ok" in the middle so you can't really miss it.
Another button that is on the Fujifilm Finepix has the 'face detection', 'zoom back' and 'zoom forward' and playback options. I really like the face detection because it focuses on the person's face and then after having snapped the picture it instantly zooms on the person's face so that you can not use zoom, it instantly zooms it. What I also like is the antiblur option which allows you take a picture that won't appear blurred even if you are moving. The red-eye option automatically corrects the picture. There is also the flash and timer ( 5s or 10s).
You also have different shooting modes:
Video
Natural
Beach
Portrait
antiblur
Party
Landscape
Night
Text
The LCD screen is 2'5 which is fairly big and usually lets you have a good image of the picture you are taking; the flash though can be blinding and has several times left me dazzled but in general I just love it and I mentioned I would recommend it to anyone who likes pictures.
Thanks for the reading
