Advantages: Camera design, image quality.
Disadvantages: Battery life, temperamental auto-focus.
Me and my partner both bought one of these cameras for £60 from Amazon last Summer. I decided to go for the blue one, whilst he decided to go for the one in black. Both cameras arrived and we were initially impressed with how nice the cameras actually look from both the front and the back! The colours of the cameras are vivid and are very appropriately sized to carry around on long journeys.
The cameras themselves are only 12 Megapixels, but this is counteracted by the camera having a 5x optical zoom and further digital zoom if needed. Neither me or my partner are professional photographers and we only really purchased the cameras as we were going on holiday together and we thought it would be nice to get some photos. Saying that, we do both appreciate quality in pictures which is certainly what this camera provides. When the camera arrived, we tried testing them to see how they were and we discovered many great settings including the macro setting which is something that other cameras in the same price bracket don't excel in.
Like any other product, the camera isn't without it's negatives, mainly, battery life! The battery life is at best not great and both me and my partner had to invest in a second battery to make sure the camera will run for a whole day.
Overall the camera is probably worth 4 stars because the image quality is nice and provides clear images, even though you can only take a handful before the battery conks out!
Pros-
* Cameras are small enough to be carried and won't weigh you down.
* The pictures that the camera produces feels more like a 15 Megapixel camera, rather than a 12!
* In all honesty, the camera looks pretty funky and they all seem to have nice coloured cases.
Cons-
* You'll probably only get a couple of hours solid use from the battery, so you're gonna want to invest in at least a second.
* The camera does seem to have a tendency to panic when trying to auto-focus.
Summary: Nice camera but certainly not amazing for professional use. Would recommend for people on holiday.
