I was a little leary when I bought this camera as I didn't like early HP cameras. But my fears were allayed when I viewed my first shot.

The real beauty of this camera is the features that you get for the price. The extra buttons and displays are very easy to use and the zoom lens is to die for. The movie mode has audio and then you can also add audio to any picture just by holding the shutter button down after you snap the picture. Switching modes is instantly done with a separate mode button. You seldom have to use the display menus as everything important is provided for with buttons.

I'd expect to pay at least 50% more for all the features the camera has. But I suspect that HP wants you buy their cameras and printers and then use their expensive replacement ink cartridges to print these beautiful pictures.

The battery life is marginal, but then I don't have the rechargeable NiMH batteries yet which I hear will double the number of shots.
