This is the big daddy of digi cameras, we are talking big money, incredible pics, and awesome features. If only I was lucky enough to own one! I am writing this opinion after borrowing this beast off a collegue at work.

Lets start with cost; if you aint got a a house to re-mortage, forget it !

The c500 has a max resolution of 1600 x 1200, in other words your gonna get a damn fine picture. The clarity of the images are amazing; dont try and print them out from a inkjet printer, you wont do them justice. Leave them on your PC and you can enjoy them until you need the space back.

When converted from the 16mb memory card within the camera the pictures are in jpeg format on the PC, therefore can be easily used in most programs, including web design packages such as Microsoft Frontpge.

The camera has a 3x zoom function which if not for its intented purpose, is damn fun too mess about with, zooming in on stuff such as insects. Trust me it is more interesting than it sounds :-)

On the rear of the unit there is a 2" LCD screen which is amazingly sharp, and the refresh rate is hardly noticeable. Little extras are dotted all over the camera and all your usual stuff that you would expect from a high class cammera is included.

If your looking for a camera rather second to none and have got a big bacnk account the c500 is your man.

It also comes with a 1 year warranty, which thankfully my friend has yet to use!
