Well i've owned this camera for some time now. Must be at least 18 months, and its still functioning exactly as it did the first day i got it. The battery is a Lithium ion pack unique to the camera, more like a mobile battery than the usual double A's and its well worth having. the life is excellent. and i often find myself trying to run the battery down in order to give it a full charge! features wise it will take some nice pictures in auto mode, and has other settings for action, landscape, beach and snow, sunset, portrait and panorama modes.
