This Camera is our second Digital Camera , was bought as a family Snaps camera, which it is absolutely ideal for., we also use the Camera for making Flash Cards for my sons communication problems ( A a system called PECS - Picture Exchange Communication System), this involves taking pictures of things such as his drinking Cup and these photo have to be fairly close and again the Camera takes perfectly good quality at this range. Strengths Relatively compact. Good battery life, lasts long time if LCD is off & flash not used, however the flash drains the cells rapidly. Used to collect images of plants for teaching purposes, very sharp for this as long as there is good light. Seems very rugged & reliable after 6 months. Throw out the original CF card & put in a 128Mb and you'll get 208 best quality photos and nearly 1000 if you drop the size (superb for good web-shots). I've been on the look out for a semi-decent, cheap Digital Camera and spotted this camera in my Index catalogue, so I ordered it and paid the extra for the video version. It arrived today, and because I was out the delivery driver hid the parcel behind the dustbin. Having used the camera for an hour, I wish I had left it there. The camera itself is very small (about the size of a cigarette packet) which is it's only redeeming feature. I took a few quick snaps in a well lit room both with and without flash.
