I bought mine from Dixons in appx June 2003 for £70.00 and also bought a 256 mb sd card for another £20.00. I no longer have the camera, I gave it to my daughter, she took it to Spain and it let her down because of the batterys. It needed the AAAs rechargeable batteries replacing. Ordinary ones soon ran down. 50 or so pictures on full recharged at least would have been normal. I found it could make really good photos and had some blown up to 7x5 or 8x6. There was always a timelag and indecisive moment when taking a photo, the shutter button felt as though it wasn't making a firm contact, and went of sooner or later than you expected. I bought this camera after giving my Fuji Axia 100 1.3 MP camera to my mom. I bought it for £70 from Dixons. From the very first snap in the evening light, I quite not liked the picture quality of this camera. The pictures were bit grainy to start with. But with tight budget that time, I decided to carry on with it. That was my first camera with LCD screen, so was not sure how good LCD display looks like. But having LCD display for that cost (well £70 for that camera was cheap in 2003) was added bonus. The daylight snaps were quite okay, but camera was useless for indoor snaps. The flash was too weak to get any descent picture. As 001maz mentioned earlier, the battery life was not very good ...
