Kodak DC 210 Plus Zoom

Rating:
I have owned my DC 210 Plus since Sept 1998, which I bought on a trip to Japan. Having paid just 40,000 yen about £200 at the time (I refuse to pay the price of electronics in the UK, too expensive) I am very impressed with the images it produces. Okay the images aren’t as good as a traditional camera, but for its time the images are good enough for small prints and for web work. Holding the DC210 plus feels nice as the body is coated in rubber in all the right places so that a firm hold can be acheived. To take a picture you just point the camera and press the button. Everything is taken care of. Although in low light conditions the exposure can be put ...

16Mb card when I purchased the camera (about £20) and this is perfectly ample for anything other than long holidays. - Other accessories. Unless you're willing to spend £4 or £5 each time you need a battery top up you're going to start thinking about either buying rechargable batteries or an ac adapter. The choices of these on the ...

and it dies on you. I would strongly recommend rechargeable batteries, they will save you a lot of money. Alternatively, just plug it into the mains using a DC adapter. Other little annoyances are the overexposure danger mentioned above and the PC connecting method. The DC3200 connects to your PC via serial cable, which, using the software supplied with the camera, you can tweak and save to disk. The actual software does the job well – the anti-redeye facility works particularly well (again, if you actually have red eyes, you may want to skip this step). The problem really is the uploading time, which seems to be forever due to the serial cable, and can ...
