~ Introduction ~ Around a year ago, I became a little fed up with the process of getting camera film developed and the associated costs, so I decided that it was time that I got with the times and went searching through various catalogues and shops for a digital camera that would suit my requirements and expectations. As most of us know, with traditional photography, we first have to buy the camera film that typically consists of 24 pictures and when we have taken all of our 24 snaps we have can then get our film developed at additional various cost depending on how soon we want the pictures to be developed. It took me literally days to decide ... Read the complete review

Nice looking, easy to handle and easy to use. This is another quality digital camera from Kodak. It’s design and looks come mainly from their DC280 digital camera. As most will know using a digital camera usually gives you a shutter lag time from when you click on the button to when it is ready for use again. The DC3400's shutter lag is about 1 second or less, most other digital cameras have several seconds of shutter lag. There are digital cameras out there without the shutter lag but, they will cost you a whole lot more. When using this camera the shutter lag isn’t too noticeable. The camera comes with a 2x optical zoom lens built-in that is ... Read the complete review

This is a great camera for a first time digital user. Depending on what you pay for it (I had mine through Ebay for about 150 gbp, refurbished with a year's warranty) it does offer good value. The zoom is a little limited but does the job - don't expect too much. Macro is one of the main drawbacks, get in too close and all you'll get is fuzz! Battery life is short - make sure you get a couple of decent sets of rechargable batteries. Picture quality is stunning if yu use the highest resolution - you couldn't ask for more from a camera of this price. Also essential to full enjoyment will be a bigger flash card (8Mb supplied gives ... Read the complete review

I have the Kodak DC 3400 for about 6 months now. It is comparatively cheap, rugged, and has enough features for the amateur digital photographer. You can get good detail at the higher settings but the lower settings are good only for display on the monitor. You get only 12 shots on the supplied memory card at the highest settings. Battery life is short - use rechargeables or a power adaptor ( not included ) - use of the LCD to frame pictures eats battery power. Limited zoom feature, but quite sufficient for my use anyway. I like the camera and it serves my purposes very well. ... Read the complete review
