This camera is fantastic. I purchased it whilst on holiday in Macao last summer, and it has followed everywhere since then. The size is great - it is tiny (9.5cm x 5.5cm x 3.5cm) and fits nicely into a small handbag or even a large pocket. It takes 2.1 mega pixel images and the image quality is GREAT. Granted they do come out HUGE on your computer screen, but the quality is excellent - my friends hate it when I take photos too close up because you can see every single pore on their face. This camera takes the popular compact flash cards and comes with a 8MB card - that's not much, so it is advised that you go and get yourself at least a 32MB. ... Read the complete review

I was lucky enough to win this camera in a competition, but even if I'd paid the asking price (you can find it for under £250 if you're lucky) I'd be more than happy. When I opened the box I was amazed how small it was (95 x 61 x 33mm according to the manual), but it also feels reassuringly heavy and well-built, not cheap and flimsy. The curved design fits your hand well, although it could do with a grippier surface - the smooth metal is a bit slippery (make sure you attach the wrist strap that is supplied so you don't drop it!) The camera's LCD screen is fairly small, and it drains the batteries at an alarming rate. It's best to ... Read the complete review

One of the latest models in the Kodak digital camera series is the DC3800. Weighing in at 165g without batteries and with dimensions of 95 x 33 x 61mm, it is so small that it can fit into the palm of your hand. It has a 2.1-megapixel resolution, 24-bit colour CCD array and supports two image resolution settings; 1792 x 1184 (Best/better) and 896 x 600 (Good). It showed from the pictures that I took that it was capable of producing good quality, clear images, which can be transferred to prints of up to 8x10 inches in size. The camera comes bundled with a video cable for connection to a television. It also has an integrated two-speed digital zoom and a USB Compact ... Read the complete review

You can pick up some good second hand digital camera bargains for your kids on Ebay these days. Take this Kodak DC3800 camera, an ideal first step into the world of digital photography. We gave this to our 5 year old this Christmas, and within minutes she was happily snapping everything, and now it's her prize posession. If she drops it, never mind eh? Funny to think 5 or 6 years ago, people were buying this at it's full RRP. Originally retailing at over £200, this 2.1 megapixel camera can now be picked up for £20 or less. The good thing about it is that you can use standard AA batteries, and a compact flash card, so you might already have these lying around - ... Read the complete review

What I liked: This camera was very easy to set up, the included USB Card Reader isntalled first time on my Windows 2000 machine. There is a good, but perhaps a bit bulky, case included. The pictures, particularly outside shots are impressive, I found that the 'better' mode was sufficient quality for viewing on a large monitor, 'best' mode for more important shots. The styling is good, though it would have been nicer if it was perhaps a little less chunky. What I didn't like: Only NTSC (American) TV output is available, unlike many digital cameras that have PAL output also, so this means many UK users ... Read the complete review
