that it will ever replace my "proper" camera, but it has its own use and is great fun. Last year I finally succumbed and bought myself a Kodak DC3200 digital camera. They cost about £150, although this can vary, and it is a very good beginners camera. It is black and not one of the smallest digital cameras I have seen. It will fit in my handbag, but my bag is quite big!! It doesn't look to me, particularly funky, but the results be-lie the look of the camera. I took it to my parents golden wedding celebrations (along with my SLR) and it must be said that the photos were of a perfectly good quality. I did get a bit of stick from my Uncle and father, ...

a little more than £100, you can have a good, basic digital camera for good quality snapshots. Good points : Price - you get Kodak quality for not much cash. LCD Screen - great for framing your snaps, and showing people what you've just taken Ease of Use - very easy to use, and the on-board menu system (accessed by using the LCD screen) is very friendly. Quality - surprisingly good resolution and picture quality for such a "cheap" camera. Mine has taken some lovely shots. Bad points : No Lens cap supplied ! Flash is far too bright, and will wash out anything in the near foreground. Needs very judicious use to get right. PC ...

I have the Kodak DC 3400 for about 6 months now. It is comparatively cheap, rugged, and has enough features for the amateur digital photographer. You can get good detail at the higher settings but the lower settings are good only for display on the monitor. You get only 12 shots on the supplied memory card at the highest ...
