Disadvantages: Batteries don't last very long !
Intro
------
This is a fab digtal camera for the average girly like myself. It is a lovely silver 4 Megapixels camera and I personally feel the quality of the photos are superb.
The Main Bits
-------------------
It comes with a fab auto lens which pops out when you turn the dial to auto. I mostly leave my camera on auto unless I do a close up shot of someone and then I switch to Close Up. It also has a Favourites option which has an icon of a heart where you can store all your Favourites. Shooting Modes are: Auto, Beach/Snow, Black Light, Close Up, Fireworks Mode, Kids & Pets, Landscape, Night Portrait, Party, Portrait and Sports so you can take a photo for every occasion!!
The camera came with a Hand Strap, Batteries, Docking Station, Wrist strap, Software and a USB Cable.
The camera has 3 x optical zoom and 5 x digital zoom, I find these really handy and after I have taken a photo I alway magnify it and if it's not what I want I delete and take another one. I know a lot of digital cameras have this but the picture is much clearer on my 1.5 inch LCD Screen than it has been on previous cameras. The photos come in Black & White, Sepia and Color and the camera has a built in flash. The memory it comes installed with is16 MB so you need to really get an SD (Secure Digital) card which will give you more memory and you can then use this card at a Kodak machine to get your prints. I use a 1 GB card and I have never needed to buy another one as you can store them on your PC and get them printed so even if you ever fill your card you can always store them safely and take them off your camera.
The warranty is 1 year but I have had mine for over a year and have not had any problems with it.
You can also get great videos on this camera. The video capture resolution is 320 X 240 Pixels and the video capture speed is 20 Frames per second . This is great when you can't afford a camcorder and have lots of nieces and nephews :-)
One of my favourite things about having a Kodak camera is the software that comes with it, before you get your photos printed you can download them to your computer via your USB cable and edit them as you wish. This includes putting a different light on them, cropping them, putting shadows on them, it's all realy fab!!
The only downside I would say with this camera is that the batteries only last 2 minutes. Luckily I have a battery charger and rechargeable batteries but even then when I have fully charged them they still only last a couple of days in my camera.
Summing Up
------------------
In summary I think if you are a bit of a technophobe like myself this is the camera for you. It's not really slim like some others but I prefer it a bit chunkier and it's still small enough to take in you handbag for a night out and takes great photos that create happy memories :-)
Advantages
-----------------
Fab easy to use menu, not too technical, good quality photos, 5 x digital zoom. Comes with fab Kodak software where you can crop and edit photos.
Disadvantages
----------------------
Batteries go too quickly!!
Prices
---------
I bought mine from Dixons for about £90 but the prices seem to vary quite a lot. When I had a look on the web they seem to range from £49 to £173.99 so do shop around!!
