Advantages: Excellent outdoor photos, top editing capabilities!

Disadvantages: Struggles indoors!

I bought this camera over a year ago, and I have in the main, been fairly satisfied with it.

The Kodak Easyshare C713 is 7.0 megapixel compact digital camera. It has a 3x optical lens zoom, and a 5x digital zoom. The camera also has an impressive 2.4" colour lcd display. The C713 comes with many built in photo enhancing features such as, digital image stabalization, high ISO, HD still capure and the Kodak perfect touch technology to name but a few. The camera is very compact, as with most digital cameras these days, but is slightly too bilky to fit in your pocket.

My main critisism about this camera is it's indoor photo quality, especially in low light. I find that no matter what setting I put the camera in, I can never take the perfect picture in low light. I normally find that the subject turns out too bright, and the background too dark. The camera comes with a smart scene option, that is supposed to select the best setting for the picture, but I find this option to no avail when indoors.

Outdoors the camera is great. I find it harder to take a bad photo than a good one with this camera. It also has video capabilities, but to be honest I never seem to bother with it, since the quality is no better than a good mobile phone.

The camera comes with the Kodak Easyshare software, which I find excellent and very easy to use when editing and printing your own photos. This, like most digital cameras, will suck the life out of normal batteries, so my advice is to buy camera specific batteries, to ensure longer life.

Summary: A very good, cheap, point and shoot camera!
