Advantages: Easy to use, small sixe, good pics

Disadvantages: none that I could find

I had this camera bought for me for my birthday and I am so pleased with it. I have never owned a digital camera before and wanted something easy to use that took good photos and was easy to transfer onto the pc.

Well this camera does it all. It is nice to look at, silver in colour and fits nicely in the hand when taking the photos. It is quite heavy for the size but not too bad. The camera is a 8.1 mega pixel camera which is really good for this prive level. The zoom on the front is easy to use and you can zoom in quite a good distance to see take close ups. It is brilliant at taking photos of family and friends and doesnt blur if your not to steady at holding it still although there is a setting you can use to help this more but I havent had to use it and I am not that steady at holding it still. The buttons are simple to use and in the right place for easy touching to take the photo although I must say that sometimes I have pressed the wrong button by mistake and turned the thing off isntead of taking the photo but I think that is just becasue I wasnt concentrating.

The menus system is easy to navigate and you can easily flick thorugh the photos that you have taken and delete ones that you dont want although it is a bit tedious if you have a lot to delete. The screen size is quite big and the photos look clear on the screen.

The software that came with the camera is good to use to transfer the photos once you realise how to work it and to let it do it automatically. Now all I do is plug my lead into the camera and then the other end into the usb port and the photos are transferred into a new folder with the date on so you can find them easily. It leaves any photos that you already have on the computer and just copies the new ones so you dont have to go through and sort out what you want to transfer.

The photos that I have taken so far have been really nice with sharp pictures and nice colours. Even those taken with a flash are really nice pics and being so small the camera fits inside my hand bag so I can take it with me at all times just in case I want a photo of something.

There are many more buttons on the camera which I havent experimented with yet like the video button but I will have to try them all out soon. Over all I am very pleased with this camera and would highly recommend it for someone wanting something simple to use. Would be great for anyone to have from elderly to teenagers.
