Advantages: Small and Compact, Many functions &LCD Display, Takes good pictures
Disadvantages: Would be better with a zoom lens
After reading and searching for countless days, looking for a good multi function digital camera on the market that was reasonably priced, I eventually came across the Kodak CX6200. I liked the look of it straight away, small and compact and attractive silver color. I couldn't believe it had so much power and functions for something so small.
It has an LCD screen on the back of it which allows you to see how your pictures have turned out and if you don't like it, delete and start again, which isn't very often, as it takes very good pictures. So simple even my kids can use it. It comes with a built in flash, so you won't be taken unawares when the sun goes in or you want to take a picture indoors. It works with 2 AA alkaline batteries, or if you want performance and something that lasts longer so as not to get caught out when capturing good memories, go for Kodak's Max CRV3 Lithium batteries which last four times longer than normal batteries. Or you could go for the rechargeable batteries which can be charged up to 300 times. Whatever battery you go for always carry a spare, as I'm sure that like me many of you have also been caught out.
Now for some technical information, The CX6200 comes with 2 CD's, one for the software you need to install on your computer, which allows you to do so many things with your finished picture, and the other CD for all the information you need about the camera, and how to use the multi functions for the camera and the photo's you take. It comes with a memory card which is the size of a stamp but holds so many pictures, You can always upgrade to a more powerful memory like 64MB or 128MB later on, allowing you to take even more pictures. It also comes with USB cable so you can plug directly into your computer.
It has a 37mm lens, and is a 2.0Mega Pixels digital camera. It has a fast picture transfer and also has the Kodak easy share function. I can certainly vouch that it takes very good pictures, good quality and so clear.
There are so many extras and accessories you can also buy for this little baby, its unbelievable. Wide and Zoom lenses, bigger memory cards, carry case, and also a thing called a Kodak easyshare 6000 camera dock. “But thats another review”.
I nearly forgot, the price I paid for it, “well its a secret”, but I will say SYREN's in Blackpool cut me a very good deal, when I bought my PC Package, well worth visiting.
Lastly and most importantly, the Kodak CX6200 is so very lightweight, no burden at all, which the wife likes.
