I have been looking for a good digital camera for a long time now it seems and as they are improving and prices are dropping I decided to try again. My first camera a Jenoptik was not very good ,my second just wouldn't work with my computer so I decided I needed to go for a better name so I tried Kodak who are well known in photography. I got this camera for Christmas and also got the dock for taking pictures. This was the first digital camera Ive ever owned. I never used the camera for some time after due to the fact that I could'nt be bothered to go through all the instructions before taking any pictures. I swapped cameras with my co-worker, letting him use a newer 4MP Olympus camera since I didn't like xD cards. This camera is a very simple & straight forward camera to use. The body is really plasticky & the Power/ mode dial above the camera is very stiff to turn. However, on the brighter side, since it is also the Power Switch, it can accidentally be turned on. Getting the camera ready for action really takes a while as needs to charge up the flash. This camera really sucks batteries, so you better have a spare pair of AAs handy. We were bought this camera as a gift. It was our second digital camera and we have been quite happy with it. The picture quality is great (particularly on auto mode). The camera is easy to use and has quite a few useful functions. The negatives of this product are as follows - poor battery life, heavy weight, bulky and poor for night photos. The poor battery life is a key isappointment. There have been a number of occasions when we have taken the camera with us and have been unable to take photos because the battery has gone flat while it was not being used (only about 2 weeks which is not an extreme length of time).
