Advantages: Fantasic pictures,easy to use

Disadvantages: None as yet

I got this camera for Christmas and also got the dock for taking pictures. This was the first digital camera Ive ever owned. I never used the camera for some time after due to the fact that I could'nt be bothered to go through all the instructions before taking any pictures. But when I plucked up enough courage to do use it, I could not believe how easy and user friendly it was to use. However after playing with it I still looked through the instruction manual and still found it easy to understand.

The camera has various settings for taking different types of pictures from sporting to stills to far off. It has a LCD viewer on the rear as well as as the old type eye piece. I found it as easy as point and clink and that was it. Then if your're not happy, you can view it and delete and take onother. The camera came with all the wires etc to connect with the computer which at this stage I have not done. I have however used the dock for processing your own and either Im easiler impressed or they come out like the've been taken by a pro. The camera also comes with a facility to take video depending the amount of memory left Again once the pictures are taken, the dock is very easy to use.

Although the camera comes with an internal memory, its advisable to buy a external storage memory chip. The camera can be recharged on the dock provided you insert the rechargable batteries that come with it. However these do not last that long if you have the CD viewer on. The amount of pictures the internal memory holds depends on the picture quailty you require. The higher the quailty the less pictures it will hold.

To sum up theres not much in the way I can tell you in regards of the spec and as Im i novice to the digital age it may well be not very dissimilar to any other digital camera but again I would say its a very good camera to start with.

Ive since used the dock with this camera and expected to get near to photo copy quality. How surprised I was when the print came out. I'd been taking pictures and sending them off to be processed for years with my film camera but the picture quailty is just fantasic. I have a friend who has the same camera and has his pictures processed through a shop and with out a doult the picture result was far better with the dock. However the paper (40 sheets) is bought with another ink roll which Ive managed to find for just short of twenty pound..

the dock is easy to use as well. just find the picture you want, fix it onto the dock and press the print button once for how many, then twice for the actual print. It takes about a minute to produce the picture and thats it. The ink cartiridge which consists of different coloured clear sheets on a roll is also pushed into the side with no bother.

Summary: Great camera Great pictures
