I have had this camera for about 7 years now and it has been absolutely fantastic. Although only 5 million MP the quality of the photos are stunning and very sharp.
The only minor problem I have with picture taking is if there is low light the picture quality suffers somewhat.
The battery life is good and I have taken 200+ photos on a day out with no problems (and you can pick up replacement batteries for a couple of pounds now anyway!).
In comparison to what is on the market now my girlfriend has a Fuji FinePix S2950 which is 14 MP and the kodak picture quality is far superior.
The file size of the pictures are small due to the small amount of megapixels therefore you get plenty of pictures stored per gig.
The camera has an ok amount of features but no panoramic or any sort of effects apart from black and white and sephia.
If you can pick one up second hand then do these cameras really are something special even by todays standard.
Designed with ease of use in mind, the Kodak DX7590 system is configured for optimal dental photography - so you can concentrate on patients instead of technology.
