Kodak Easyshare M1073 IS: easy point and shoot (Kodak Easyshare M1073 IS)
Member Name: p8ya
Advantages: easy to use, 10.2MP, image stabilisation Disadvantages: poor low light images, no manual control of most features I recently chose this model as a replacement camera for my mum as hers was stolen on holiday. This model is a pretty basic point and shoot camera without many of the features boasted by the competition. It's a great camera for holiday snaps and family occasions. The 2.7 inch LCD is clear and bright, my mum has no problems even though she has got quite bad eyesight. The 10.2 megapixels result in quality images and the camera has optical image stabilisation and digital anti-blur which is great for holiday pictures when the kids won't stay still!! The only big problem is the image quality in low light; I especially found pictures taken at dusk were poor. The camera has 3x optical zoom which is average for most cameras of a similar price though there are some available with larger zoom if you're interested in close-ups. A great point and shoot for the in-experienced but lack of manual control and limited range of features should probably put off the experienced photographers. Summary: Great point and shoot for family pics
