A year ago I updated my camera to the Kodak Easyshare M340 in red. I payed little under £100 from a local photography shop. Since then I have been experimenting with the camera in all sorts of situations, and I have discovered that whether you're just snapping shots at a party, or taking photographs as a hobbie, this camera is definitely and an all round scorer!
The Kodak Easyshare M340 is a great camera if you are a beginner in photography or you just want to snap some shots, but don't want to break the bank at the same time. Nowadays you can get this camera for around £70.
It's 10.2 megapixels and 3x optical zoom allow you to capture a defined picture easily. It also has a range of different features for different settings and situations. The camera also has flash features and video settings for all types of use too.
When you purchase this product, in the box there is: the camera, the charger, a charger travel plug adaptor, a guide manual, and a software disk. The guidebook cleary explains all the features and how and when to use them, as well as telling you how to upload the photos and set up the camera. The software disk is simple to install into your computer and allows you to upload and edit photos, although this isn't essential if you already have a program to do so.
A long lasting battery life means you rarely have to charge the camera, and when you do it's only needed to be done for a short while of time.
The internal memory is not enough to support more than 4 pictures, so an SD memory card is required. But, I hardly think this is a problem, as they are widely available for less than £10 depending on the gigabites.
Aesthetically the camera is quite nice, it comes in a range of different colours, including red, black, silver (grey) and pink. It is light weight and quite comfortable to hold. The large screen is handy and enables you to cleary see the photo you are taking!
Kodak Easyshare M340 contains many feature, as I said, and has a setting for every situation. You are able to record videos, and just take plain pictures. But, the camera has setting which allow you to produce better photos. The camera has a subject motion setting, which helps reduce blur if the subject is moving; a sport setting to reduce the effect of fast action; it has a panorama setting which allows you to take pictures of wider scenes; and then setttings for people, distant scenery, close up subjects, flowers, sunsets, when there is a bright light behind the subject, candle light, action photos, steady photos, documents, beaches, snow, fireworks, self portraits, night time, night scenery, and photos in low light conditions!
It also has the usual camera settings such as flash settings, zoom settings and timer settings. You can view your photos manually or by slide show, which lets you have music and different themes! You are also able to enable a little amount of photo editing, for example; cropping photos and adding a 'perfect touch' setting.
This camera does not come with a connection cable for between you computer/television, but you can just put your memory card into your computer or sometimes TV aswell.
I personally have never had any problems with the camera and have a totally good experience with it. Yes, there are a lot of settings(!), but, the camera is brillant value for money!
The kodak m240 is an amazing ametuer photography camera it has a good self stabalisation feature and a decent picture quality to it. it supports a 3x optical zoom which means you can focus in on things not too far away. the camera is very small and light making easy to handle and it is also very comfortable to hold it has a large screen on the back for viewing photos and comes with a nice addon which allows you to view a slide show with built in music that can change for differnt atmospheres and moods. it is reasonbably priced and you can find a new one for around £70 which isn't bad if your after a good reliable camera in a hurry. the onl;y major downside to this camera is the memory most of the cameras wont come with a memory card and the built in memory can only hold about 4 photos so you will also need to splash out on a card for it.
I bought this camera about 6 months ago in red. Its a wondeful little camera. I am a 'aim and shoot' sort of person and this camera is wonderful for that. It has been used by myself and both my partners children 5 and 7yrs old. Its so easy to use and can also take video clips which is also a great feature. The 10.2 megapixals make the pictures really clear and the zoom is also very handy. The battery lasts for ages and only takes a couple of hours to fully charge up. There are lots of different features for editing your photos once taken and the photos are really easy to download and get printed. This is my second Kodak easyshare camera and a upgrade, its a little heavier than my older one but it was well worth my £100 spent on it. Wonderful camera for anyone who just likes to take and print photos.
I have had this camera for over a year. I have it in the pink which is very stylish but not over the top. The look of the camera itself if lovely. There are so many different options when taking a picture I am still discovering new things and becoming more impressed the more I use it. The functions are just brilliant. The camera is good for just about everything from close ups to landscapes. I use the camera mostly to take pictures of family and animals. I do alot of photo editing and find the clarity of the pictures really helpful. I do plan on upgrading the camera for the simple reason that its becoming out of date and there is much more you can get in a camera now than you could a year ago. But I will keep ahold of this one. Other cameras have only lasted me a few months at the most but this one is definately one of the best and for the price it is a brilliant all round camera whether you are taking a photo or recording a short video clip.
