Advantages: Ease of use, point and shoot

Disadvantages: Not enough manual settings

I had this camera bought for me for my birthday by my girlfriend. I think it retails in Argos for around £80. It's a great camera with good overall picture quality.

It is very very easy to use and could definately be deined as a true point and shoot. It has minimal controls with various scene modes. It also allows users to specify white balance conditions and ISO settings. It also has 3 different flash setting for auto, fill and red eye reduction. The camera also has long exposure shots for night-time static shots.

However I was disappointed that I was unable to specify shutter exposure time below one second as I would have liked to be able to specify down to 1/2000 seconds allowing me to get the best shot possible.

The options for resolution are very good and there are choices that allow for 6 x 4 format if you know you're going to print that size.

The video function is very good with a good VGA resolution and good frame rate. Audio is excellent too.

Summary: Great first camera
