I purchased my Kodak Easyshare sport mainly due to the waterproof feature, and I think that the camera is excellent in that regards! I've already been outside in the rain twice, and the camera has stood up to the test. Being a mountain biker / hiker, I like to have a durable camera that I can use in any condition, and this was the one for me.
The camera has a quick bootup time, so if you really need to get it on for the picture quickly, that is a good feature. I've had cameras that took forever to startup, and when they did, it was too late for the picture that I wanted.
Setting up the camera was very easy. All of the menus are straight-forward so you can easily adjust the date/time, as well as other options. The initial setup took about less than 2 minutes, and then it was ready to go.
The camera has a 12 megapixel resolution, so the pictures come out very clearly. The shutter delay is short, so you're going to get the picture you planned.
Overall, this is a great beginner digital camera that has a low price point. The added bonus of being waterproof allows you to bring your camera out where some people can't have theirs.
