Advantages: Smart Capture / Perfect touch technology

Disadvantages: the user manual isn't very good

Being a novice i wanted to buy a camera that wasn't hard to use, i had looked at several other makes and models before i bought the Kodak Easyshare V1273. I have so far been very happy with my purchase, i love the large touch screen, it's great just tapping the screen rather than having to press diffrent buttons etc. Another reason i chose this camera was that i didn't have to buy batteries, as it can be charged straight from the wall socket or USB lead to your pc (a HDTV/ printer dock was also supplied).
Picture and video quality is very good. If you just want to point and click the 'Smart Capture' mode is a must as it takes care of everything for you, and the more advanced user would enjoy using all the different modes, making it a good camera to grow with. The V1273 has internal memory but i would still reccomend buying an SD card.
I purchased my camera from Comet along with a 4GB SD card and a camera case, the camera cost £99.99 and the 4GB SD and case cost £19.99.

Summary: A good quality camera for beginners and the more advanced
