I have my Kodak V610 for about two years now and it's still going strong. The 10 times optical zoom is one of it's best features! However at the full capacity on the zoom I'd recommend a tripod unless you've got an extremely steady hand! I really love the panoramic mode which allows you to take 3 photos next to one another and it will stitch it together for you there and then. It's a durable camera - I've had it repaired once (under the product support) only because I got sand in it as a result of falling asleep on a beach - on top of the camera. The quick start up time is another reason i bought it. I love taking photos on the spur of the moment and if the camera takes too long to wake up then the opportunity is often lost. luckily for me this camera is speedy in that respect.

Very easy to use all round brilliant camera.
